day 1

day 1 of the 17-day long battle.
anticipating the end of all the blood-shed.
despite the fact that this day is only day 1.
the beginning.

yes. beginning with the end in mind.

today's battle results.
survived.
battled for a total of 1 hr 45 mins.
had a weird splitting pain in the head in the morning before the paper.
and a runny nose.
but thank god.
i wasnt affected when i was in the exam hall.
and managed to complete my paper and leave the exam hall 15 mins before the stipulated time.
not cos it's super duper easy.
but it was manageable.
and plus the last part which was the essay.
know it means know it.
so i guess there wasnt much to really check through.
there's no way to rewrite anyway.
overall. i guess the results would be satisfactory.

2 more papers up next for the coming week.
and then 2 more papers in the week after next.
and friday the 28th shall be a day definitely worth celebrating.

things to look forward to for now.
celebrating chiewlin's birthday. the zinc chloride, former oc gang, first outing after yr 1 sem 2 exams.
celebrating linda's birthday. the zinc chloride, former oc gang, second outing after yr 1 sem 2 exams.
going overseas with mum and ying from 5th june to 16th june. the first time i'll ever get to have the actual day of my birthday overseas. london here i come!
6a chalet 8th to 9th july. soccer mania. and loads of fun.
k-boxing i suppose. at least once.
and i guess the list should be longer after some time. i hope. haha. more things to look forward to. ;)

must study hard.

there was good news.
got my first choice subject for inter-sem elective.
which means i can clear off one module.
and i was told it's non-examinable.
so i guess it's good too.
will strive hard to do well.
so mondays tuesdays and wednesdays mornings starting june19 will be school days for me.
hehe.
but a really nice timetable of 9 am to 12 noon classes each day.
just got to wake up a little earlier.
and i'm glad that sis got her choice of subject too.
although we didnt manage to get a subject together.

and then spent my day mugging.
which hmmm. shld i say. was hilarious.
but at least sthg was done.
not really super a lot.
but i guess i did sthg.

and yes.
the battle is starting.
12th is my first paper.
and i'll be looking forward to the last paper on the 28th.
embarking on the beginning with the end in mind.
i guess it's a nice way to put it.
shld be able to do proper revision so long as i discipline myself enough.
this semester.
i've got to make an improvement.
a vast improvement too.

family sunday

lesson of the day - failure is not fatal
remember that everybody fails.
remember that the someone watching over all of us loves us not for our success.

linda was saying my blog is gathering dust again.
but i only didnt blog for friday and saturday!
hmmmm.
weird. it's just my blog isnt it?

went back home on friday.
only to really award myself with a break.
mum made my favourite potato soup.

it looks plain though she added carrots, pork ribs, onions other than potatoes in.
but picky me only took the potatoes and the soup.
anyway. i loved it so much that i gulped down two bowls of that for dinner.
and of course.
tried my best to study given the slacker mode i was in.

saturday slept to my fill.
and woke up only after much screams by sis.
haha.
lazy me. poor sis.
then after that tutored.
and went out with sis for a while to shop for presents.
april is horrible.
it's exam month.
and so many people are having their birthdays.
it's making me broke.
haha.
but then again.
it's the month in which two of the most important people in my life were born.
after that slacked around at home again.
but i'm finally done with one last chapter of one. yes one of my exam modules that i have to prepare for.

then sunday was rather eventful.
went out for dinner tonight.
just to celebrate ying's birthday earlier.
went to great world city crystal jade restaurant for dinner.
a sumptuous meal i must say.
we took so much so much photos.
haha.
crazy people.
but yea it was a great meal.
cos we seldom get to eat together.
so it was definitely a nice time spent.

the wanton is shrimpy-licious. haha.
damn nice.

i dont really recall what this dish is called.
but i think it's number 20 on the menu list.
some fried dumpling with salad sauce or sthg.

nice too. the sauce is nice.
again more shrimp.

small and simply lovely when eaten once it's served.

top-left: naive dream. one of original swatch watches. which means it shld cost 73 bucks in retail outlets. hmm. saw this on the website only and found it quite nice. the colour combi. my taste is weird la. if you dont agree that it's nice. haha.
top-right: the mother's day 2006 collection. really sweet. it's called flower wishes.
bottom-left: flowers forever. this interesting swatch skin collection that's very girl. haha. more interesting is that the strap is fabric. wouldnt really buy this one but it's still quite an interesting find. haha.
bottom-right: star hunt. another swatch skin collection. found it really nice at first sight. when i saw it at the retail outlet on saturday. but end up liking more the one beside it. but i cant seem to get a picture of it off the website.

by the way. the one i like cost 123 bucks. nice number. haha.

spring cleaning

to clear off some dust gathered on this page.

not that bad i guess.
i just didnt update for a few days.

quite some things to say.

sunday.
had grandma's bday celebration over at her place.
so it was quite a crowd.
and major photo-taking session.
sis brought her slr.
ying brought my digicam.
loads of photos.
but i dont have them yet!

then i can post and make this darn thing a little more interesting.

monday class.
got back some assignments.
the grades arent totally desirable.
but they arent that bad too i guess.
figured that if i can do well for the main papers.
shld be fine.
this week only have lessons on 3 out of 5 days.
since it's the last week of school.
only tutorials.
which means also that exams are approaching.

tuesday was mugging day.
and i activated my bookworm club distress signal.
4357. in case most people dont understand. help on the phone's keypads can be typed out keying 4357. that's why.
haha. yes i am lame.
and i realised that some people have abnormal speeds when it comes to studying.
and some people have amazingly high saturation points.
some people have amazingly high endurance!
woah.
i need the 6a kind of motivation too.

was damn shag on wednesday although there wasnt class.
the rain these few days seem to rain down on me.
sadly.
it rains and stops. rains and stops.
wore me out with all the short distance running here and there just cos i am lazy to whip my umbrella out of my bag.
talk abt sloth.

and yes. i just got a little drenched running back to hall in the rain.
the rain was quite heavy but the distance was.
not too long.
but then again.
not too short.
and so. the lazy me decided to run.
and yes. in a super duper unglam manner.
back to hall.
feels good getting drenched sometimes. but then again. not with my bag.
haha.
was protecting my bag like mad. cool huh?

oh. and just when i thought today is the worst day of the week.
cos my class is like 8.30 am to 12.30 pm then 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm as usual.
and both classes had quizzes today.
the quizzes were manageable.
was quite happy with my scores.
cos they were better than previous ones i scored.
and the 3.30 pm class ended within an hr.
shiok.
but well if it ended later at the usual time. i wouldnt have to run in the rain.

two major discoveries today.

discovery no. 1
people can seriously be horribly kiasu.
*faints*

passed by the canteen today.
and apparently there was a booth set up to give out free nescafe coffee.
which was slightly chilled.

first there was a crowd.
and since they dont restrict the distribution.
it was like a free for all buffet.
what happened was.
i saw people grabbing for the bottles.
and then come out of the crowd with like at least 3 in each hand.
walked down the canteen.
and saw someone with like one box!
saw someone with many bottles and was like gulping down the 3rd* bottle already! amazing caffeine overdose. *i saw 3 bottles without the cap on that's why.

and some interesting sights.

but there are people getting plastic bags to "take-away" the free bottles of coffee.

guys can be quite weird at times.
not to be sexist k?
but just like males say females are difficult to understand.
i propose the other way is the same too.
males can also be difficult to understand.

first, my tutor.
the one that usually ends class on the dot at 6.30 pm.
he used to take 2 hrs to finish up 12 slides.
today he took half an hr to finish up 8.
improvement in efficiency.
he used to set really hard quizzes. 10 questions each that are really killer.
and today he set an easy one. that i could handle without having to think too hard.
not cos i studied a lot i think.
and it was 5 questions only! he was saying. as long as we turn up. we already scored the other 5 marks! sugoi! amazing!
and he gave tips!
must study hard for the final paper already!

then, a fellow classmate.
funny.
i wonder if it's me who said the wrong thing.
which i presume i didnt.
cos i seriously dont think i said anything nasty!
*crosses my fingers* i hope i didnt.
