cleaning up the dust

hehe.
havent been updating for a long long while.
haha.
not really very long la.
but well.
relatively long enough.

still.
many changes took place since i last updated.

for one.
school has started.
i just finished first week of school.
and through God's blessings i managed to change from a disastrous 5-day week timetable to a really nice 4-day week.
one thing that really amazed me was when i clicked on something that indicated zero vacancy.
i actually could add that subject in.
haha.
thank God. all the stress working with the crappy stars system in school.
He definitely saw me through even what seems to be a small issue.

another.
i'm back at hall this semester.
probably stay most of the time.
still have to work this out with sis.
the reunion of zncl2.
looking forward to loads of fun with the girls this semester.

quite some things that i cant really recall specifically.
but well.
it has been a well spent 11 days since the start of the year.

some pictures to share.

i saw this caterpillar at the back of the bus seat in front of where i was seating.
one day when i was travelling.
freaked me out for a moment.
and i just looked at it throughout the whole bus journey.
just to make sure that it won't suddenly drop on me.
i felt it was too awkward to just move to another seat.
hehe.
silly right?

had a secondary school gathering just a week ago.
quite a handful of people came.
which is rather amazing.
some of them i havent seen for a long long long long time.
teeseng tops the list for being the most successful secondary school gathering organiser!

the group of us had loads of fun at settler's.
playing taboo. charoodles.
doing all sorts of funny stuff.
though the food isnt really fantastic.
but well.
we had a great time.
looking forward to meeting them again!

and ever wondered how we hostelites spend our really free time?
haha.
linda made us watch tom and jerry!
sometimes it's just those funny things we do that makes hall life fun.
we dont have to play that crazily like most hall people.
no mahjongs. no drinking.
distancing ourselves from the scandals and gossips.
still we have our fair share of fun. :)
thank you girls for just being such wonderful company!

that's all for now.
shall go and rest.
and start doing my schoolwork tmr.

2007

2006 has been...

a time for many first.
taking the first step to walk with the Lord.
first time i truly had a meaningful christmas.
man there's so so so much that i cant really list them all now with my half-dead brain.

a time for many blessings.
simply cant count them all like that.
i've been blessed in many different areas.
in terms of finance.
in terms of studies.
many many more.
blessed with lovely friends who simply make that difference to my life.

thank you to those who have made a difference to my 2006.
:)

and God has indeed walked me through.
good times, bad times.
He has seen me through.
there has been moments of ups and downs.
but still. it's always hopeful holding on to His promises.

2007 will be...

definitely a better year.
whatever may come.
i know that He has something splendid planned.
loads of wonders to anticipate.

there are many things to set as my resolutions for the year!
many many to look forward to.
:)

our 4th year together

time flies.
it's been 4 years since the class came together!
haha.
how amazing.

we had our dinner at forum california pizza kitchen.
which wasnt really that fantastic.
the 8 of us finished up 4 pizzas.
yet werent filled.
lol.

had wanted to visit shashlik restaurant at far east shopping centre.
but it was super crowded.
and there was a dress code.
so we decided to head for cineleisure.

end up eating more at xin wang hong kong cafe.

loads of different stuff we had.
loads of whackiness too.
loads of laughter.
loads of funny surprises.
loads of wonderful memories.

a picture of the girls that were around.
haha.

the whole group of us.
let's have more people next gathering k?

it was an enjoyable time together.
looking forward to more years of friendship!

christmas

this year's christmas...

is different.
it's really different spending christmas knowing the true meaning of celebrating it.

is well-spent.
there was carolling and the party on the 23rd.
there was christmas service on the 24th and dinner with some of the brothers and sisters.
there was christmas fellowship playing games at gloria's place on the 25th and having log cake at home with my family.

is simply splendid.

here are some pictures of all the fun and joy.

the christmas party.
the preparation.
the christmas tree.

baked cookies as gift for some people.
i enjoyed myself.
munching as i bake too.
haha.
finally got down to baking after talking about it so many times.

the lovely presents that i got for this christmas!
thank you everyone!
they brought smiles.
:)

the christmas log cake that mum bought for the family to have.
really tastes good!
haha.

i had a meaningful christmas!
how did you have yours?

clearance

now doing yet another cleaning up.
high time i sweep some dust off this blog.
it's been some time since i last blogged.
and i thought it would be good that i write about something from where i left off.
before i start blogging about christmas!
hehe.

anyway.
the previous entry i mentioned about cleaning up.
and i promised photos.
haha.
simply for laughs.
totally nonsensical.
hehe.

copper ii sulphate from 6 years back.
remember one of the experimental techniques to retrieve pure substance.
crystallisation?
yes. did that when i was in sec 2.
science experiment.
and this was the pure copper ii sulphate that i crystallised 6 years back.
it's still kept in my cupboard.
gosh.
haha.
it's still PURE CuSO4 ok?
haha.

remember those times we were totally crazy over power rangers?
that was primary school i think.
power rangers was the hype.
goodness.
to think i still have those cards with me.
hehe.
i threw them away right after i took the picture!
haha.

this was my bus pass when i was sec 3 i think.
they implemented a bus service system to cater to students taking 3rd language.
and i remember i was the only upper secondary person in my entire school crazily still doing 3rd language.
and being the only one. there were no longer people taking the bus then the mrt to moelc anymore.
so when they provided the bus service i took that instead.
and end up the dozing off so soundly on the bus.
until some junior had to wake me up to get me off the bus.
haha.
how super embarrassing.

ever told you that the library was my playground?
it all started in primary school.
this is my primary school's library library card.
to think i still have it with me.
i wonder if i can still drop by to borrow books.
i remember loving my job as the librarian so much.
cos i liked doing the barcode scanning thing using this pen-like scanner.
and then stamping the date on the book!
haha.

and that love for the playground just continues.
these are my secondary school's library library card.
it just has this weird policy of having 3 cards.
i cant remember which is for which.
one colour is for english books and one is for chinese books i think.
haha.

and this is my primary school bus pass.
and can tell that i stay very near my school.
so i dont need to travel.
and so i dont even have a single bus stamp on the card.
and the photo is SUPER ugly.
haha.
cos at that time i didnt know how to tie a ponytail by myself.
so whenever i go to school my mum does the hair for me before i head for school.
somehow. the hyper me will just get my hair messed up in school.
yet i never knew how to get it done right.
so when it was time to take the photo.
i took it with messy hair.
and to think the photographer didnt ask me to get my hair properly done.
haha.

and the days when primary school just have so many talks encouraging students to drink milk.
haha.
i was a member of this sustagenius club.
and honestly. the milk doesnt taste good.
i wonder how i benefitted from it then.
haha.

there were more hilarious jokes.
but i didnt bother to take more pictures.
haha.
well. i realised how good i was at keeping so much useless stuff.
some time soon. i've got to pack that place again.
and see if there's more that i can simply throw.
haha.

anyway. this week kick-started off with my church's youth camp.
and so i was away from monday till thursday.
had an awesome time.
God was moving amazingly among us.
fabulous worship. totally captivating messages.
thought-provoking. a time of self-reflection. introspection.
i enjoyed myself there.

the camp was at nus pgp.
exterior looks quite like my hall.
but interior. of course my hall's better.
since it's way newer.

there was a mart at pgp there.
and jj, christine and i saw this interesting hello panda biscuit!
it's like yanyan style. the usual hello panda biscuits had the filling inside.
yet this one had just the flat version of the biscuits (with the panda prints) without filling.
and the strawberry-flavoured dip.
lol.
interesting.

and the first ever photo i've taken with christine.
totally had a great time being encouraged by her.

the camp booklet.
and the keys to the room.
they call it transponder.
and it costs 40 bucks.
and it's how hard to navigate around pgp.
the lift doesnt work unless you have the transponder.
and it doesnt allow you to get to other floors.
and there's an access gate at each level.
which can only be opened by the transponder.
and it only allows you to get to your block your level.
the room of course needs the transponder to unlock it.
so there's practically MUCH limitations to get to elsewhere in the hall.
say to visit a friend.
gosh.
to think sometimes i complain about the way my hall is.
bleh.
haha.

camp was a great experience.
and now i'm back.
time to enjoy the christmas season!
looking forward to making a difference.
:)

desperate attempt

to keep the dust off my blog.
haha.

shall update a little.

it's been quite a while since holidays started.
and i'm beginning to slacken quite a bit this week.
gonna need discipline!

got a crappy timetable for the next semester.
which totally spoilt my mood on tuesday.
and sometimes when more things add on.
it just doesnt help to make me feel any better.
but well. i guess i just have to wait till the add/drop period to get my timetable properly done.

went out with mum, sis and ying yesterday to hdb hub.
and selected the flat.
was quite a chore.
now there's loads to consider.
especially financing and all.
but well. we've got time to properly plan.

this is how the neighbourhood is expected to look like once it's completed.
hehe.
it seems as if it's gonna be quite well-equipped.
there's gonna be a ntuc nearby!
haha.

i spent the day cleaning up part of my messy table.
which brought me loads of sneezes.
there were so many stuff over which sis and i had a good laugh over.
shall post the photos once she has uploaded them.
hehe.
that should be quite some entertaining stuff.

met cheryl, winnie, shirley, rayson, kenny and michelle for dinner tonight.
it's been so long since i last caught up with them.
haha.

we had a filling dinner at the marina bay steamboat.
just look at the heap of prawns that we ate.
was the first time i handled live crabs.
at first didnt dare to so waited for the crabs to struggle till they are dead.
and an auntie taught me how to wash and cut them up so that we can cook them.
haha.
was quite an experience.
haha. took the clumsy me so long to get 3 crabs properly done.
but well i learnt something.
ate so much! gosh.
hehe. time to get down to doing proper workout to shed those fats off.

ate till i'm so sleepy now.
haha.

tmr should be having a slack morning!
hehe.
that's all for the update for now.
shall get something more interesting down when i'm less sleepy.
hehe.

final showdown

it's been a crazy day doing subject registration.
and i just realised i made a mistake.
and i've got subjects unregistered.
gosh. stars is making me see stars.

yet.
there's something to anticipate for.
the last name.
the final showdown.

click here to see the trailer.
yay! how cool.
